American Idol viewer stereotype:
The embodiment of an american idol fan is a 17 year old white female from a middle to upper-middle class family from any suburban town. Not too upper-class or she won't have that aspiration to make it big that. the idea that american idol is all about. rags to riches and such. listens to pop music and this girl is pretty sure she started watching it before anyone else.

Social Class Segmentation
1. American Idol fans aspire to be ultra famous.
2. Age and Gender are not as important. Guys and girls win, even that guy with the gray hair.
3. show is based of a rags (low social class) to riches (high social class) idea
4. most fans are middle class, feel like they control their fate.
5. spans broad ethnic groups, and therefore is not a segmentation.
